Sunshine Stars Are Condemned To Beat Sunshine In Ilorin- Tamen Medrano

Sunshine stars player, Tamen Medrano has blamed his side's recent poor form in the Nigeria Professional Football League on some internal crisis.

He also said that losing some of their key players to Super Eagles compounded their woes as they were made to struggle in their last two NPFL games.

He has now charged the Akure Gunners, who have slipped down to the fourth position on the log to bounce back to revive their

title chance before the close of the season.

"We are not very angry, we are not," Medrano told Goal.

“Things have not gone well with the team owing to some internal problems. Aside from this, losing our key players to the national team really affected us.

“There is a challenge to perform and we must also be aware of certain things. And beating Kwara United in Ilorin is how we will get there, we will bounce back,” he concluded.

The coach Kennedy Boboye-led side stumbled 3-1 at home against Nasarawa United - and will hope to recover in the Nigeria topflight at the Ilorin Township Stadium.

With Boboye's side fourth in the league – eight points off leaders Enyimba - the assistant captain was clear that they take responsibility for the defeat against Solid Miners, and would get back to shape against the Harmony Boys.
