Super Eagles Players To Get #1.5M Each For Cameroon, Congo Clash

The Nigeria Football Federation have concluded plans to pay the Super Eagles players a sum of #1.5 million ($6,000) for DR Congo and Cameroon in October, with the coach, Sunday Oliseh pocketing a double of that sum.

Nigeria, who maintained its 53rd position for the third consecutive month in the latest fifa ranking are hoping to improve on their rankings with the friendlies, and also use the games to prepare for the 2018 world cup qualifiers in November.

“It will be a flat rate of $3,000 per game for the matches in Belgium, meaning each player will be paid $6,000 for the two matches and their ticket fares reimbursed.”

The Super Eagles will face DRC in Antwerp on Thursday, October 8, and then take on Cameroon on Sunday, October 11.

The matches are aimed at preparing the three-time African champions for next month’s 2018 World Cup qualifier against either Swaziland or Djibouti. Africanfootball
