Barcelona's philosophy still intact- Lionel Messi

Barcelona's Lionel Messi has insisted that the Catalans have moved on from their moment of defeat at Real Sociedad early this January.

Barcelona, currently sits one point behind league leaders, Real Madrid who are tops with 57 points in the la liga and Messi has said that they are still true to the club's philosophy.

"We have two things, a more direct game and another passing game", Messi has assured, thereby confirming that Barcelona, although true to their style, also play on the counter-attack when necessary.

During an Adidas promotional event, Leo Messi has said that if "we continue as we are", his club are set to pick up some important titles this season, after their "change in attitude" following the painful defeat against Real Sociedad.

"Since Anoeta, the team's attitude has changed, our motivation, the way we go out onto the pitch is different. The way we press, get the ball back and keep it, it's not like we did before", he enthused during the event.

"You could see that after Anoeta, the players wanted to change the image that they had given of themselves and luckily we managed it", he reflected.

The Argentine also believes that the team enjoy "a very good dynamic". "We are presently enjoying great form. But we also know that we haven't won anything yet. We hope to carry on like this in order to win something".

"The team's objective is the same as always. We play for Barça and are therefore obliged to try to win everything. Unfortunately, last year we didn't manage even one title; we hope we do in this one", he said.

"We have two things: a more direct game and another passing game. We can look for the counter-attack, with gaps behind their defenders, but there is also the other way of playing which we haven't lost, which is the Barça philosophy."
