Out-of-contract Super Eagles coach, Stephen Keshi has described the Nigeria's Football Federation offer as a “slave contract”.

The 52-year old tactician, whose contract expired after Nigeria crashed out of the 2014 FIFA world cup in Brazil has been at the mercy of the NFF, who are yet to conclude on whether to continue with him or hire a foreign coach.

former Togo and Mali trainer has been out of contract since leading the Super Eagles to a second round finish at the 2014 Fifa World Cup in Brazil.

The former Mali and Togo boss took charge of the Nigerian team on a caretaker basis during the qualifying series, which the Eagles failed to qualify, thereby failing to defend the title they won in 2013 in South Africa.

Keshi acknowledged receipt of the contract this week and has now moved to describe it as a “slave contract”.

"From the clauses I have seen so far, I don't know what words to use but the contract can be described as a ‘slave contract,” Keshi said.

The deal, which is supposed to run from March 1, stipulates that Keshi must lead the Super Eagles to the semifinals of the 2016 African Nations Championships (Chan) and also the same stage at the 2017 Afcon.

Should Keshi fail to meet those targets, then the contract will be terminated at “the absolute discretion” of the NFF.

Keshi will also be paid the amount as monthly salary; five million naira (about $23 000), which is what he received during his first stint as Super Eagles coach from 2011 to 2014.
