The out-of-contract coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria, Stephen Keshi has been informed that he must be ready to play by the rules if he;s still interested in coaching the nation's national team.
The Chairman of the Nigeria Football Federation Technical and Development Committee, Felix Anyansi Agwu revealed this, after explaining that Keshi cannot just be offered the position on a platter of gold.
The former Mali and Togo boss, who won the 2013 edition of the African Cup of Nations with Nigeria in 2013 has been considered for contract renewal by the NFF technical committee but Anyansi said many things would still have to be taken into consideration for things to work smoothly.
“We are not recommending that Keshi should get the job on the platter but that he must abide by the term of reference he would be given," Anyansi told Goal.
"We don’t want Nigerian football to suffer and hence our decision to recommend that Keshi continues from where he stopped for continuity sake.
"There is still a long road to his appointment and he must show in all sincerity that he wants the job."
