England player, Frank Lampard has revealed that Manchester City has missed the services of Ivorian midfielder, Yaya Toure adding that his arrival will help get their title challenge back on track.

The 32-year old who helped his side clinched his country clinch their second African Cup of Nations title in February has returned to training with City and, teammate, Lampard believes his arrival will boost their title contention hope.

City have only managed to win one out of their last six games in the absence of Toure, with the Ethiad side crashing out of the FA Cup, falling 0-2 to Middleborough.

"He's a massive player for the club", Lampard said of Toure. "I could see that from afar when I was at Chelsea.

“You want him back in and hopefully that will give us a boost as a squad. Of course you miss a player like Yaya with his talent and his ability, and we’ve had a time where we lost quite a few games.”
Wilfried Bony was signed for €36 million from Swansea in January, but has yet to make his debut for the champions, and Lampard is equally excited about the prospect of working with the man who bagged nine goals in his last 15 games for the Welsh club.

Lampard continued: “Alongside Yaya coming back, we’ve got Bony arriving. We’ve seen what he’s been doing at Swansea and he’ll be a fantastic signing for the club.

“There’s an air of confidence about him and he’ll add to the squad.” Goal
