Defending champions, Real Madrid have failed to reach this year's champions league final following their 1-1 draw at the Santiago Bernabau against the Italian side, Juventus on Wednesday evening .
Ronaldo opened scoring for the Galacticos through a spot kick, hoping to seal the victory while the game progressed but their former striker, Alvaro Morata cancelled Madrid's first half goal, to edge them out on 3-2 aggregate.
The first leg of the same encounter had ended 2-1 in favour of the Old Lady, and tonight's draw gave them the edge over the Carlo Ancelotti's men.
Sergio Ramos and Karim Benzema went close, while Ronaldo wasted a glorious chance on the counter attack, but the sides went into the half tied at 2-2 on aggregate and with Juventus still needing a goal to avoid losing out on away goals.
The Italian side will now face Barcelona, who lost to Bayern Munich 2-3 at the Alianz Arena on Tuesday but advanced on 5-3 aggregate on June 5.
Both team are eligible to win treble this season.
