Reactions have begun to trail the possible appointment of the former Super Eagles captain, Sunday Oliseh for the nation's senior national team coaching job.
A former Nigerian International right full back, Innocent Obiekwu, has expressed confidence in his fellow ex-International, Oliseh to succeed Stephen Keshi, who was last Friday fired by the Nigeria Football Federation due to lack of commitment to the job.
The former Super Eagles gaffer won the 2013 Afcon championship, 19 years after Nigeria won the second title in Tunisia in 1994, but the federation have began shopping for a successor for the Eagles, who will face Tanzania in their next Afcon qualifiers in September.
Meanwhile, Oliseh has become the fans favorite for a local coach and Obiekwu supports the calls. The former Green Eagles man stated that Oliseh’s Coaching qualification meant he fit the bill as the next Coach of the Eagles. Footballlive
