Former Nigerian international, Garba Lawal, has urged Nigerians to respect the opinion of the new Super Eagles coach as he has said that he will only invite players in the first division to prosecute national team games.
Lawal, who played along Oliseh in the national team explained that the new Eagles gaffer is a principled man who understands what he wants.
Kaduna United F.C General manager also warned that the former Borussia Dortmund player needs good luck to succeed on the job, adding that with supports from all quarters, he will succeed.
He added that Oliseh’s decision to allow only players in topflight teams across the world would lead to the formation of a new Super Eagles that may restore Nigeria’s lost football glory.
“Oliseh is the coach and he wants players in the first division. That is what he wants; I don’t have anything to say about that. He is a man of principle, everybody knows that. I’m just praying for good luck for him,” Lawal said.
“Football is about luck; it’s about results. He needs good luck to succeed. He has a strong attitude and a strong mind. I know with that strong will, he will be able to change things for the better.”
