Nigeria's Falconets on Sunday spanked the Liberian women U-20 team 7-1 in the 2016 FIFA Women’s World Cup qualifiers at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium in Monrovia.
The coach Dedevbo led side went 3-1 up in the first half with Yetunde Adeboyejo scoring twice in the first first 45 minutes while Chinwendu Ihezuo scored the third for the Nigerian side.
Liberia got a consolation before the referee blew the half-time whistle hoping to catch up when the second half commenced.
Adeboyejo made sure of her hat-trick early in the second half, before Juliet Sunday netted the fifth goal in the 70th minute.
There was no road for the Liberians into the game again, and Amarachi Ojinma scored two late goals in the 78th and 87th minutes to make it 7-1 to the Falconets.
The second leg of the fixture comes up in Nigeria in two weeks’ time.
