A German Bundesliga side, Eintracht Frankfort refused to sign Nigeria-born German international, Sidney Sam, after the winter's failure to scale through the club's routine medical test.
Both Schalke 04 and Eintracht Frankfurt had earlier agreed on his possible switch this summer, but the medical examination done on him showed he has a number of health issues according to Schalke 04 website.
The medical test results showed that 27-year-old has a kidney issue as well as traces of blood in his urine, which caused Eintracht Frankfurt to pull out of any possible deal.
Schalke have now said that they will now conduct further tests on the Nigerian, who has opted to play for the German national team in order to determine the reason for such irregularities.
He has previously played for Hamburg, Karsaislautern and Bayer Leverkusen. Africanfootball
