Ejike Ugboajah Warns Nigeria To Be Wary Of Tunisia Despite Beating Uganda 98-59

Nigeria's Basketball senior national team, D'Tigers' will face host country Tunisia in their next game at the ongoing 2015 FIBA Africa Championship.

This will be the 2011 bronze-winning team's third game after beating Central African Republic 88-63 before thrashing Uganda 98-59.

Meanwhile, a former D'Tigers player, Ejike Ugboajah has warned the team to be wary of Tunisia and Uganda while insisting that the current Nigerian basketball team have what it takes to win the championship's gold medal for the first time.

“D’Tigers have what it takes to win the AfroBasket,” he said.

“The players in the team can stand against any other team in Tunisia. They have the strength and zeal to make a record which has so far eluded us.”

He said, “The African game is built on strength and that is what the Angolans and the Tunisians have.

“Although most of our players are based overseas and are not too familiar with the African game, their mental strength will see them through tough opponents.” punch
