NPFL Side, Giwa FC Suffers Armed Robbery Attack

A Nigerian Professional Football League side, Giwa FC suffered an armed robbery attack on Monday evening in Enugu ahead of the NPFL's week 21 fixture.


The Jos' Elephants were on their way to Umuahia for their Wednesday game against the coach Ladan Bosso's men when they robbery incident occured, but unlike that of Kano Pillars' earlier in the year, there was no report of any of them sustaining injury.

Giwa, who climbed to the fourth position on the league table after beating Kwara United 1-0 on Sunday have amassed 34 points from 20 games, three points shy of the current league leaders, Enyimba, while Abia Warriors are eighth with 30 points from 20 games.
