The remains of the late Media Officer of the Super Falcons, Miss Gracious Akujobi, will be laid to rest  at her home –town, Egbu-Owerri, outside Owerri, Imo State on Saturday, 22ndAugust, 2015.

Akujobi, who served as Media Officer of the U-17 Women National Team, Flamingos, in 2012, died on Thursday, July 16 at the Super Falcons’ camp in Abuja, after health complications.

According to the chair person of the Nigeria Women Football League and Member of the NFF Executive Committee, Chief (Mrs) Dilichukwu Onyedinma, will lead the NFF delegation to the burial rites.

“The truth is that we are still saddened by her sudden death Gracious Akujobi was a humble and dedicated media officer, and highly professional. That is why the NFF has decided to play a full role in the arrangements for the burial even though she was not a staff of the Football Federation.

“We cannot question the Almighty God. We love her but He loves her the more. Our prayer is that God will continue to give the family the fortitude to bear the loss, and also grant late Gracious Akujobi eternal rest.”
