All is now set for the 2015 edition of the Hope 4 Girls Basketball camp; an initiative put together to give the girl-child the required skill to compete in her environment.

The annual basketball clinic is organised yearly by a former Nigeria international, Mobolaji Akiode, and the jump ball will be on August 6 at the Nigeria Institute for Sports Gymnasium inside the National Stadium, Lagos.

According to the Athens Olympics 2004 player, the camp is geared towards “giving the girl-child a sense of belonging and an opportunity to express their talent as they forge ahead in the game of basketball.”

Akiode disclosed that the 6th edition will have in attendance in Quint Clarke of the famous Blair Academy, USA.

Clarke has to his credit many top high school players currently holidaying in Nigeria. He will be particularly responsible for the coaching of Felicia Ayeitan.

The H4G initiator also disclosed that the current beneficiary of the program, Evelyn Akator, who's currently with the University of Kentucky will be joining in giving back to the young girls at home.

Akiode, while looking forward to the camp has expressed her gratitude to the President of FIBA Africa Zone 3, Col Sam Ahmedu (retd) and the General Manager of the Toronto Raptors in the NBA, Masai Ujiri, for their support in sustaining the camp over the years.  Punch
