Super Falcons Crashed As Dream Team Progress To African Championship

Nigeria's U-23 team have progressed for the 2015 CAF U-23 Championship in Senegal after edging Congo playing a goalless draw against Congo at Point Noire to progress on a on a 2-1 aggregate.

The Dream team sealed their qualification in Port Harcourt a forthnight ago with Junior Ajayi scoring a brace which sank the Claude Le Roy's boys.

Nigeria thus joined hosts Senegal, Algeria, Tunisia, South Africa, Zambia and Egypt for the tournament proper, which will serve as a qualifying series for the 2016 Rio Olympics.

Mali hosts the final qualifier later today when they welcome Gabon to Bamako.

The eight finalists will be drawn into two groups of four teams with the top three teams advancing to the Olympics next year in Brazil.
On the other hand, the Super Falcons crashed out of the Olympic games scheduled to hold in 2016 in Rio after losing 2-1 in Bata, and crashing out on a 3-2 aggregate.

The Super Falcons impressed brightly from the start as they kept a healthy defensive structure to contain their hosts in the opening 15minutes.

In the 18th minute, Washington Spirit new capture Ngozi Okobi sneaked through and snatched the vital lead which handed the visitors a priceless away goal advantage.

But the host cancelled Okobi's goal in the 86th minute and grabbed a winner in the extra time through Nzalang Nacional in the 112th minute, and they will now face South Africa in the next round.
