Super Eagles To Depart Abuja Stadium On Wednesday Afternoon- Media Officer

Super Eagles spokesperson, Toyin Ibitoye, has confirmed that the national team will depart the Nnamdi Azikwe Airport, Abuja on Wednesday for Tanzania ahead of their African Cup of Nations qualifiers against the Taifa Stars.

Ibitoye also disclosed that departure time for the team is 3pm Nigerian time, added that the players and coaches are delighted with the plans made by the Nigeria Football Federation.

“Everyone, from the players to coaches are pleased with the travel plans and we want to specially thank the NFF for this. We will leave for Dar es Salaam on Thursday afternoon and arrive in Nigeria, in Port Harcourt to take on Niger at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium next Wednesday (below) via the same Jet on Sunday,” he told supersport.com.

He added that the team would be looking to impress against the unheralded Taifa Stars who will be banking on vociferous support to upset the apple cart on Saturday.

“We know the Tanzanians traveled to Turkey for a special training camp for this game against us so nobody is going to underrate them.

“The boys are working hard every day in training and we hope to win in Dar es Salaam,” he said. Supersport
