Barcelona are set to offer Brazilian Neymar a bumper deal to chase off Manchester United, who have approached the player to switch allegiance.
The Catalans are ready to make the 23-year old the third-highest paid player in the world to quash Manchester United's hopes of landing him.
His father has since claimed United made a bid , which was rejected outright by Barca.
And now they are ready to double Neymar's wages to a staggering £500,000-a-week to keep him at the Nou Camp, reports the Sun.
The salary would see the 23-year-old become the third-highest paid player in world football behind Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
President Josep Maria Bartomeu said: "This is the season we will sort out a new deal with Neymar.
"But we will try not to talk about the negotiations and to work discreetly until we can announce it."
