Patrick Pascal Lashed Out At Rumour-Spreading Journalists; Confirms Eagles Leave For South Africa January 2

The Super Eagles team coordinator, Patrick Pascal (MON) has confirmed that the home-based Eagles will jet out of the country come January 2 for a training camp in South Africa ahead of for next month’s CHAN championship, scheduled to kick off on January 16.

The former Nigerian international confirmed this in a telephone chat this morning, saying the team is practically ready to battle Africa for the title.
Pascal also took out time to lash out at journalists, who have made it a point of duty to be spreading rumours about people, saying they are deviating from the ethics of journalism.

Nigeria will set up a training camp in Pretoria, South Africa, for the final phase of their build-up for the championship, and have lined up Cote d’Ivoire and Angola for test games.

"I think the team will leave the country January 2nd."
He added: your colleagues just sit down at the corners of their rooms or offices and cook up stories that are not true, their aims of doing that i don't know."

He further explained that some journalists went even up to the extent of quoting the minister of what he did not say, which he said is criminal in nature, but urged the media men and women to endavour to get their facts right before writing any story.
