Super Eagles striker, Odion Ighalo has earned the praises of Watford coach, Quique Sanchez Flores, after equalling John Barnes last weekend with his outstanding scoring ability all through the year.
Ighalo scored the lone goal in last Saturday’s Premier League fixture against Sunderland after Allan Nyom pulled a low ball through which the Nigerian poked in from close range in the fourth minute.
“The performances of Ighalo have been amazing. That is in the year – not just this season," Flores was quoted by The Sun.
“He is individually a good player. But if he scores or plays well, it is because he is playing with other quality."
Ighalo has scored in his last three games for the Hornets. His goal against the Black Cats brought his tally to 10 goals in 16 appearances this season and a third consecutive away win for Watford.
