Basketball: Sarah Ogoke Confident Nigeria Will Qualify For 2016 Olympics In Brazil

Nigeria and Celta Vigo Basketball club Point Guard, Sarah Ogoke, has expressed optimism that the D'Tigress will qualify for the 2016 Olympics in Rio, Brazil.

The Nigeria's women national team were drawn in the same group alongside Belarus and Korea in
Group C of the qualifiers which will take place in France, and the 26-year old believes Nigeria are going to pick one of the five tickets available during qualifiers.

She added that her side's Group C opponents will be difficult but insisting "Our aim in France to end up in Brazil".

"I am super confident in our ability and our chances of getting one of the 5 tickets to Brazil. Belarus and Korea will be tough opponents in the preliminaries, but i know we have enough talent to compete and get out of the group".

Sarah Ogoke led Nigeria in assists in Cameroun 2015 with 4.4 assists per game, scoring 6.9 points per game then adding, 4.2 rebounds per game and 1. 4 steals per game.

The draws for the 12 team tournament billed for the city of Nantes, France from June 13 -19th was done at the House of Basketball in Mies, Switzerland; and will also see runners up at the 2015 Women Afrobasket, Cameroun slug it out with Turkey and Argentina in the preliminaries in group B.
