Ex-Nigerian international, Austin JayJay Okocha, has said that the current Super Eagles coach, Sunday Oliseh, has no excuse not to surpass Stephen Keshi's record at the forthcoming 2016 CHAN in Rwanda.
Nigeria won bronze in their maiden edition of the championship under former manager, Stephen Keshi, and the former Eagles skipper believes Oliseh has all it takes to go all the way to win gold in this year's edition of the tournament.
Nigeria is in group C along with Tunisia, Niger Republic and Guinea, but the former Bolton Wanderers playmaker warned that Home Eagles' participation in Rwanda won’t be a stroll in the park, considering the pedigree of opponents in the competition.
“The team has what it takes to do well in Rwanda,” Okocha told Completesportsnigeria.com.
“Oliseh has started well and all he needs now is to ensure the CHAN Eagles prepare adequately for the competition if really we want to do well.
“Yes, Nigeria won bronze under Keshi but I believe Oliseh can go two steps further this time around but he must not put himself under any pressure."
