Rwanda Beat Ivory Coast 1-0 In CHAN Opener

The African Nations Championship, Rwanda 2016, with the host country beating Ivory Coast in the opening game of the tournament. 

Bayiseng Emery gave the host country the lead in the 15th minute of the game, and that eventually put Rwanda on top of Group A

table temporarily with three points, pending when the second will be played.

Rwanda would have made it two in the 62nd minute via a spot kick but Ivory Coast's goalkeeper, BADRA ALI SANGARE, denied the host nation the second goal, to keep their goal deficit on a low.

The second group A game will be played 6pm Nigerian time with Gabon playing host to Morocco and the result will determine who stays top on the log.
