Super Eagles Ighalo; Watford FC Coach Win EPL Player And Coach For The Month

Super Eagles and Watford striker, Jude Odion Ighalo, has been crown the premier league player of the month, while his coach, Quique Sanchez Flores won the coach of the month.

The duo were in fantastic form last December as they were able to overcome EPL top teams, winning three of the five games played, drew one and lost one.

The opened their December campaign with a 2-0 victory over Norwich City, followed by a 1-0 away win at Sunderland. They thumbed Liverpool 3-0 win with Nigeria's Odion Ighalo scoring two out of the three goals in that game.
The 26 year old forward also scored against Chelsea in their 2-2 draw at the Stamford Bridge before finally bowing to Tottenham's high-intensity game on the 28th of December.

Ighalo struck five times for the Hornets, with a brace against Liverpool and goals against Norwich, Sunderland and Tottenham Hotspur. The Nigerian international also found the net against Chelsea, but the goal was later credited as a Gary Cahill own-goal following a deflection off the England defender.

Mesut Ozil, Marko Arnautovic, Riyad Mahrez, Romelu Lukaku and Dele Alli were the other players shortlisted for the Player of the Month award.
