Nigeria international, Emmanuel Emenike, was delighted scoring two goals for West Ham United in Sunday's FA Cup victory over Blackburn Rovers.
The Ex-Super Eagles forward scored in the 64th and 85th minute to hand the premier league side progress to the next round of the championship.
“I could have had more but I want to thank God for today and for the victory. I also want to thank the management,” Emenike told BT Sports.
“The game was open when it was ten against ten and we could have scored more. I am happy with my goals and for the team,” he concluded.
The forward made his first full 90 minutes with Slaven Bilic’s team and the club captain, Mark Noble was also full of praise for the Nigerian.
“Obviously, we lost out on Andy [Carroll] during the week but Emenike has come in and has been great for us today," said Noble.
“I have said what I think about him. He is a top player and a top pro. To be fair Dimitri [Payet] has been there and scored goals but Emenike has come in for his first start and get a couple of goals in the FA Cup is fantastic for him.
“He has waited a long time to get this move into the Premier League and I am over the moon for him. You can see how happy he is.
“You can see the options we had from the bench today with Song and Manuel coming on which is great. We are looking strong. It was a tough opening 20 minutes and it was what we expected from a proud club but we got hold of the game and got back into it with a couple of bits of magic,” he concluded.
West Ham will have either of Shrewsbury or Manchester United for the quarterfinals of the FA Cup.
