Former Golden Eaglets manager, Manu Garba, has insisted that he did not reject the Nigeria Football Federation's offer to coach the Nigeria U17 team.
The 2013 FIFA U17 world cup winning coach was fired by the federation following his side's failure
to progress to the next round of the FIFA tournament in New Zealand in 2015.
The NFF announced the promotion of Emmanuel Amunike as the new head coach of the team, tasking him to qualify the Flying Eagles for the world cup and probably win the tournament.
The 51-year old, who was reported to have rejected the job of the U17 team debunked the allegation, adding that he is always ready to serve wherever he's given the opportunity.
"I did not reject any offer," Garba told Goal. He continued: "I have heard a lot on the issues in the media.
"But my position is that I am ready to serve my country in any capacity if given the opportunity to do so," he concluded.
Garba served asone of late coach Yemi Tella's assistants who won the U17 World Cup in Korea in 2007, before been promoted as the head coach of the cadet team in 2013.
