Shooting Stars winger, Ajani Ibrahim has said that the Oluyole Warriors are battle ready for the Nigeria Professional Football League season as they kick off their campaign against last year's FA Cup finalists, Lobi Stars on Sunday.
The former Sunshine Stars of Akure player further explained that they are hoping to get their
campaign on a winning start with Kadiri Ikhana, who led Enyimba to their 7th league title last season.
''Yes, I'm in shape and ready for the beginning of the new season," Ajani told Goal.
''Now for us the most important thing - to concentrate on the first game with Lobi Stars. From this starting point, we will move forward.
''This is a good opponent, a good team. In order to counter such a team, you need to be well prepared which we have done.''
Ajani, who surprisingly did not follow coach Gbenga Ogunbote to Giwa FC urge their teeming fans to come out and support the club as they kick off by 4pm local time on Sunday.
