The spirit of the late Nigerian Institute of Journalism Sports Director, Chris Ogochukwu Ogbodo must have helped his former colleagues beat the Pen Pushers 5-4 on Wednesday.

The game saw both the staff and students come out to honour the late sports director, one year after
he left everything to answer the Most High's call.
The staff came from two goals down to clinch the friendly game, which was kicked off by the current provost of the institution, Mr. Gbemiga Ogunleye.
Here are the pictures of the event which took place at the main bowl of NIJ, with others cheering their teams as the battle in a subtle manner.
Folami Ogunleye's Tribute (2013/14 Set) "I was perhaps the first person to hear the sad news of his passing. I had seen him previously on Monday of the same week and we were to meet on Friday. I called his line that morning and a lady picked telling me I can't get him( I wondered why not.
You see myself and Mr Chris had a father/son relationship. I'm sure his other students will attest to that as he has this willingness to listen to even the most mundane issues).
I replied to the lady that she should please inform him that one of his students needed to talk to him. Then she broke the news, I felt blood drain from my face. Mr Chris to me was a friend/brother and father all in one. In the days after his passing, I would walk into school and it would feel weird knowing I won't be able to walk into his office and chat with him like I used to. I'd always remember him for all the good things he was."
