#NPFL Lagos Derby: MFM FC Coach Satisfied With A Point At Onikan Stadium

MFM FC coach, Fidelis Ilechukwu has admitted that the first half red card one of his boys got during the first #Lagos Derby after 23-years forced him to change his side's tactical play, but insisted he was happy he went home with one point.

MFM, who got promoted the same time Ikorodu United did has only lost one game out of their first

five NPFL games this season- won three, lost to Shooting Stars in Ibadan 3-0 and played a draw against their local rival, Ikorodu on Sunday.

Meanwhile, the Ikorodu boys have not been having funny in the Nigeria's topflight, as they have only managed a win against Lobi stars, two draws and a loss against Enyimba last Thursday.

Ilecukwu also insisted he won't blame the central referee for reducing his team to 10-men on the field of play; nobody is above mistake

"I think it’s not too bad, i believe the red card may be error and we human beings are full of errors, so I don't think I will complain about it because it's part of the game."

"Yes, yes, the red card affected us because we had a game strategy but at the end of the day, we had to change, and that's what happened. Thank God that at the end of the day, we were able to pick a point here."

On the other hand, Ikorodu United coach, Benson Edema, has insisted that he's not under any form of pressure, but disclosed his next plan is to work on his attackers to convert their chances to goal.

He said he wasn't satisfied with the conversion rate of his attackers; saying that scoring two goals after four games was not acceptable.

"I wasn't satisfied, I played against a team that was one man down, I took one midfielder out, and replaced him with an attacker, making five but it just happened like that football, you win, lose or you draw."

"I'm satisfied with the defense line after four games but I'm going to work on the striker now because I played five strikers today and they couldn't score one, I had to put out one of the midfielders because I decided to change my pattern today, because I needed to score. The defense line is okay, but like I said, I'm going to work on my strikers to start converting most of their chances."

"We've just started the league, we've played four matches and conceded two goals, one from Abia Warriors and the second from Enyimba, we have only played four games out of thirty eight, there are still thirty four left." Benson Edema said
