English Premier League side, Chelsea, risk not being qualified for next season's UEFA champions leaague championship as they were bundled out of this year's edition on Wednesday night.
The Blues, as they are popularly referred to were beaten in front of their home fans by French Ligue 1 side, Paris Saint Germain,
with Adrian Rabiot and Zlatan Ibrahimovich netting for the away team, while Diego Costa scored Chelsea's only goal for the night.
PSG have now progressed to the quarter finals in Chelsea's stead for the second time on a row, after edging them out of the championship last year on an away goal rule, before beating them home and away this season.
The EPL side remains 10th on the log with just nine games to the end of the season, and aa couple of injuries battling the team, their chances of appearing in Europe next season remains will be unrealisable, if their season ends up the way the log is looking at the moment.
Four teams have now made it to the last eight of this year's UCL championship- PSG; Benfica, Real Madrid and Wolfsburg.
