Siasia Confirms Eagles Team List For Egypt Will Be Out By Thursday

Super Eagles stand-in coach, Samson Siasia has confirmed that his team list for the Nigeria's must win double header against Egypt later this month will be out on Thursday.

Nigeria will welcome the seven-time African champions to the Kaduna stadium on March 25 for the

2017 African Nations Cup qualifiers, where the three-time champions currently trail the Pharaohs by two points.

The current Dream Team VI gaffer was mainly promoted to oversee the game in March before the substantial manager for the nation's top football brand is hired and unveiled to all Nigerians.

Siasia revealed that talks have been opened by the Nigeria Football Federation with Vincent Enyeama and Emmanuel Emenike over their possible return to the team.

He assured that the best players will be invited for the high-profile two-legged matches against Egypt, insisting he is facing no pressure to succeed.

Meanwhile, the NFF technical committee chairman, Chris Green, has assured that the camp for the national team will be flung open to invited players after the team list is ratified by the committee this weekend.

“We just finished talking with the NFF Technical Director, Shaibu Amodu," Oliseh told media on Tuesday.

"We are just putting the list of invited players together and after the NFF Technical Committee meeting on Thursday, the list should be released.

“The Super Eagles’ Secretary, Dayo Enebi, will be contacting the invited players and he is talking with Enyeama and Emenike; we will talk with them when they are ready to talk.

“We will be happy to see these players back in the team if they can help us to qualify for the 2017 AFCON,’’ he said.

“The job for me is tasking but we are here for challenges and, being a challenge does not mean that it is a mountain we cannot climb.

“I am not feeling any pressure; all I want to do is to ensure we do well in the two games against Egypt,’’ he concluded.

Siasia took over from Oliseh who resigned last Friday and he will is be assisted by Flying Eagles coach Emmanuel Amuneke, Salisu Yusuf and Alloy Agu as goalkeeper trainer.

The first leg encounter will hold in Kaduna on March 25, while the return leg is scheduled for Alexandria on March 29. Goal
