Nigeria Professional Football League side, Akwa United has suspended coach Maurice Cooreman, on an indefinite leave following their 1-0 defeat to the NPFL defending champions on Sunday night.
The Belgian tactician was informed of the club's decision on Monday via a letter, informing him to embark on leave until further notice.
Akwa, who are 10th on the NPFL log after match day 13 have told Cooreman's assistant, Ere Dokubo, to take over the responsibility of leading the coaching crew.
He was also informed, along with other coaches that they have been given a three-game deadline to improve the club's results "or be fired."
The caretaker coach and his backroom staff will have to produce results against MFM FC (away), FC Ifeanyiubah (home) and Giwa FC (away) to keep their jobs.
Akwa United have dropped eight points at home following losses to Enyimba and Abia Warriors and a scoreless draw with Warri Wolves, and those results have irked the management which described the situation as "unacceptable and a dent on the league title aspirations of the club."
The Promise Keepers sit in 10th place with 18 points, six behind table-toppers, Enugu Rangers. superspor
