Real Madrid manager, Zinedine Zidane, has confirmed that Cristiano Ronaldo would miss their game against Rayo Vallecano on Saturday due to a muscle strain in his right thigh.
The Portuguese international limped off towards their 3-0 victory over Sevilla during the week, and the coach has said that he's unsure of Ronaldo's availability in next week's champions league clash against Manchester City.
"He won't be with us tomorrow. He's had an ultrasound and an MRI scan. It's nothing serious, but he's got a strain and he can't play tomorrow. We'll monitor it in the coming days."
"He always wants to play. If you play him tomorrow, it could work out, but he's staying at home and we'll see on Tuesday."
Real Madrid are just one point behind league leaders, Barcelona, who are joint leaders with Atletico Madrid on 79 points, with four games left to play this season.
