Manchester City have progressed to the semi finals of the UEFA champions league for the first time after beating French Ligue 1 side, Paris Saint Germain 1-0 on Tuesday night at the Ethiad stadium.
Belgian Kevin De Bruyne scored the only goal of the encounter to progress on a 3-2 aggregate,
following their 2-2 draw in Paris last Wednesday.
De Bruyne said the goal was as a result of their hard work, adding that their performance was enough to see them through to the next stage.
"It feels great. We played a very good game. Paris didn't create a lot and I think we deserved to go through. We are in the semi-finals, anything can happen. It will be tough but we are looking forward to it." Kevin De Bruyne, Manchester City forward
Meanwhile, England's number, Joe Hart, also believed that The Citizens worked hard for the results while giving kudos to the French Ligue 1 side for the resilience all through 90 minutes.
"An amazing night for us. We have worked hard in this competition. We struggled to start with but we have started to compete."
"Credit to PSG, I thought they made it a fantastic encounter. I thought we really did shine in this leg. Fantastic from the whole team, even those not on the bench." Joe Hart, Manchester City goalkeeper
City have now joined Real Madrid in the semis, waiting for the two remaining teams.
