The NFF will also discussing the issue Super Eagles coach as the
federation are planning on hiring an foreign manager for the country’s senior national team.
“We are going to critically discuss a wide range of issues during our (NFF’s) consultative forum with the honourable minister of sport on Tuesday.
“The entire board and the technical committee will be present at the meeting as we attempt to come out with a clear direction as regards the choice of coach for the Super Eagles.
“On Tuesday, we should know if we are going for a foreign or Nigerian coach,” Pinnick said to assembled media in Abuja.
Nigeria’s last two Afcon qualifiers against Egypt were masterminded by local coaches, Samson Siasia, Emmanuel Amuneke, Salisu Yusuf and Alloy Agu.
Pinnick says the NFF was ‘thankful’ to the coaches despite their failure to win any of the two fixtures against the Pharaohs.
“We are very thankful to these coaches. I can tell you they did well, one hundred percent.
“Even the backroom staff were excellent. We were just unfortunate (not to have qualified for the 2017 Afcon,” he said. Supersport
