ARM Pension has won the 7th UBA Pensions five-a-side tournament following their 1-0 victory over Legacy Pensions on Saturday at the Funturf Centre, Lekki, Lagos.
Bolaji Adeleke gave ARM the only goal that gave them the title in a tournament organised annually by UBA Pensions Custodian Limited.
Nine Pension Fund Administrators contested for the championship; namely PAL Pensions,
LeadwayPensure PFA Limited, AIICO Pensions Manager Limited, IEI-Anchor Pensions, Stanbic IBTC Pensions Managers Limited, ARM Pension, Legacy Pension and Crusader Sterling Pension and host UBA Pensions.
It is the fourth time ARM Pension would emerge victorious since the tournament began in 2007! while, In the third-place match, Leadway Pensure PFA defeated PAL Pensions 2-0 to clinch the bronze medal.
In the other games, the relay team of PAL Pensions won the sack race while the chess and scrabble games were won by Oladunjoye Niyi of Stanbic IBTC Pension and Aiyedun Adedoyin of Leadway Pensure respectively
Ladies Aminu Aisha of UBA Pensions and Akanbi Nike of Legacy Pension emerged winners in the table tennis and egg and spoon events respectively.
A total of 20 medals were won with Adeleke Bolaji and Olaniyan Muis of ARM Pension receiving the Most Valuable Player and Best Goalkeeper awards respectively. Okey Davies of Legacy Pension was the highest goal scorer while Leadway Pensure received the Fair Play award.
