Former Super Eagles goalkeeper, Vincent Enyeama, and the 2013 African Cup of Nations highest goal scorer, Emmanuel Emenike, have confirmed that they will be in Port Harcourt later this month to honour their former teammate.
Both Enyeama and Emenike were unceremoniously let-go from the national team, after facing off
with former coach, Sunday Oliseh in 2015.
The event coordinator, Waidi Akanni, on Wednesday confirmed that Enyeama was ready for the game on May 27 at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt.
He said, "We have a confirmation to that effect and there are many other goodies lined up for fans because Yobo is so passionate about this project."
"Emmanuel is coming. He spoke with me personally and I am so elated with the love shown by my colleagues," the former international said.
Meanwhile, four-time African footballer of the year, Samuel Eto’o, tops the list of top players who will storm Port Harcourt, Nigeria for the game.
Also on the list is Chelsea legend, Didier Drogba, current Blues captain, John Terry, Thierry Henry, former Arsenal forward and Wayne Rooney. The Ayew brothers: Dede and Jordan, Sulley Muntari, Djibrin Cisse and Tresor Lualua have also been named.
