Shooting Stars Sports club has re-hired coach Gbenga Ogunbote, who recently dumped Nigeria Professional Football League side, Giwa FC early this week.
Ogunbote became the favourite for the position he left before the season kicked off early this year, after the resignation of Kadiri Ikhana from the club last month.
The former Gateway FC coach helped ‘The Oluyole Warriors’ last season for them to retain their premiership status is back to rescue the team, who are second from bottom of the table halfway through the campaign.
"Coach Gbenga (Ogunbote) has returned to Shooting Stars as the TA, while coach Lawal Abimbola Abidemi is the first assistant and Agoye (Edith) is the second assistant," the official told AfricanFootball
"Coach Gbenga decided to leave Giwa because he is not sure about the status of the team and what will eventually happen to the team,” a source informed.
"Giwa FC have been expelled from the league and the appeal is yet to be tackled so he decided to quit to go elsewhere."
