Premier League champions, Leicester City, have announced that Jamie Vardy will commit his next four years to the Foxes.
The 29 year old England forward scored 24 goals last season, just one behind fellow England
forward, Harry Kane, and the EPL side revealed that they have met with the striker who is preparing for England's UEFA Euro 2016 round of 16 tie against Iceland on Monday.
"Both parties hope that this announcement will end recent speculation regarding Jamie's future and confirm his long-term commitment to Leicester City Football Club.
"Jamie will continue to focus all of his efforts on trying to achieve success with the England team at the European Championships in France.
"There will be no further comment from either the club or the player on this matter until the conclusion of the tournament."
Vardy, who joined Leicester from non-league side Fleetwood Town in 2012, and his club will start their title defence with a trip to promoted Hull City on the weekend of Saturday, 13 August.
