Former Bafana Bafana of South Africa coach, Gordon Igesund, has joined others to pay tribute to the fallen hero of the Nigerian football, Stephen Keshi, who pass on in the early hours of Wednesday due to heart attack.
Igesund, who led the Bafana Boys to the 2013 African Cup of Nations, which Keshi and his team won, said Keshi was a gentle man on and off the pitch
"Well...as coaches we got to know each other on and off the field, but he was a good guy," Igesund tells African Football.com.
"He was a gentleman of the game, humble and decent and I remember we also met during the Chan tournament in Cape Town.
"We fought on the touchline as coaches, that's normal during the game, but after the game we will have a chat and talk about it like gentlemen.
