Flying Eagles head coach, Emmanuel Amuneke, has insisted that Enyimba have what it takes to beat his former Egyptian club side, Zamalek, when both sides clash this Sunday in CAF Champions League Group B match in Port Harcourt.
The Nigeria champions edged Tunisian Etoile du Sahel 4-3 in penalties to progress to the group stage
of the continental showpiece, where they are grouped with Zamalek, Entente Setif of Algeria and South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns.
Amuneke featured for Zamalek between 1991 and 1994 and said they are a big and very organised team, but they are also beatable.
"Enyimba have to work hard, believe in themselves and the players have to be ready for the competition. They have to compete and not just be happy they qualified for the group stage," said Amuneke.
"It won’t be easy, but Zamalek are beatable. Enyimba just have to minimise their errors against a big club like Zamalek so that they are not punished when they present a weakness." Africanfootball
