Head coach of Nasarawa United, Kabir Dogo, has said that he was happy to have picked a point on the road against Ikorodu United in last weekend's Nigeria Professional Football League game at the Onikan Stadium.
The Solid Miners were able to force the Oga boys to a 2-2 draw after regulation time, and the coach has added that his aim was to get the whole three points in the game.
The Kabir Dogo's men came back twice into the game through Abdulrahman Bashir and Samson Gbadebo, after the home team had taken the lead on two occasions, and the coach said that the draw will inspire his team to better performances in the league and Federation Cup.
Dogo said the away point will restore more confidence in his wards to finish the campaigns high in subsequent matches and the Federation Cup.
"I’m really happy with the draw as well as our first point on the road in the on-going league season," Dogo told supersport
"Actually, our match plan is to claim the whole three points at stake but the 2-2 draw is not a bad result."
"The away point will certainly serve as morale boost for us in other matches as well as the Federation Cup."
"We have come close severally in the past to earn a decent result on the road but came out worst at each occasion."
