Former Flying Eagles coach, John Obuh has urged the Nigeria Football Federation to employ Salisu Yusuf for the Super Eagles job as Nigeria prepares for the 2018 world cup qualifiers in Russia later this year.
This came in the wake of the NFF's ambition of landing a foreign coach for the Nigerian senior
national team, which has been without a substantive coach since the resignation of coach Sunday Oliseh in February.
Obuh insisted that Salisu experience as assistants to late Stephen Keshi, Sunday Oliseh and Samson Siasia will be valuable to his reign if he's given the job to lead the three time AFCON champions for the qualifiers, which kicks off in October.
The Kwara united head coach said Salisu is the man: "please give Coach Salisu Yusuf the National Team Chief coach."
"If the NFF trusted his assistance capacity by all standard he should be trusted as an head coach otherwise it means dat loyalty to d NFF is better than competence."
"I therefore stand behind Salisu as head coach."
