The Flying Eagles of Nigeria finished tops of Group A with 7points at the ongoing African Youth Championship in Senegal on Saturday.
The Manu Garba side held their Ivorian counterpart to a 2-2 draw after winning their first two games against Senegal and Congo on Sunday and Wednesday respectively.
Nigeria had already qualified after their 4-1 victory over Congo in their second group game, but was joined today by host country, Senegal after enduring 120 minutes to beat Congo 4-3.
Both Nigeria and Senegal have progressed to the next stage of the tournament as well as booked their spots at the 2015 Fifa world cup in New Zealand later this year.
The four countries to represent Africa in the next U-20 world cup are Nigeria, Senegal, Ghana and Mali.
