Flying Eagles must be cautious against Ghana- Ex-Nigerian International

Ex-Nigerian International, Henry Nwosu, has charged the Flying Eagles not to be complacent as they face the Black Satellites of Ghana in one of the Semi Final games at the ongoing African Youth Champoionship in Senegal.

The Nigerian U-20 team will engage their Ghanaian counterpart at the ongoing Orange African Under-20 Championship in Senegal on Wednesday at the Leopold Sedar Senghor Stadium, Dakar.

Nwosu admitted that the rivalry between the two countries at the U-20 level has been for some time now but insisted that Flying Eagles must avoid complacency to win the expected difficult clash against Ghana.

“The AYC semis clash between Nigeria and Ghana is certain to be tough as both countries know each other inside out, the rivalry is as old as both countries so I don’t expect anything other than 100% concentration and focus in the game.

“I don’t expect complacency on the part of Flying Eagles rather they must come to the party with every amount of seriousness.

“Ghana usually build their attack slowly from the back so we must be very good to catch them on counter.

“Of course, Flying Eagles must have picked one or two lessons from the Golden Eaglets in the out gone African Under-17 Championship in Niger.

“Flying Eagles are good side with quality players, I expect them to overrun the Ghanians but it won’t be easy.

“I think the watchword is absolute caution and 100% concentration victory will be assured,” said the former Golden Eaglets and Gateway United head coach to supersport.com.

Both countries have secured their passage to the upcoming Fifa Under-20 World Cup in New Zealand together with hosts, Senegal and Mali.
