Hard work; key to Flying Eagles success- U-20 team media officer

The media officer of the Flying Eagles of Nigeria, Samm Audu has attributed the success of the nation's U-20 national team to hardwork.

The Nigerian contingents at the ongoing African Youth Championship on Sunday defeated Senegal in front of their home fans 3-1 to top the Group with three points while the other game in the group between Ivory Coast and Congo ended 1-1.

"Hard work is the key to the flying Eagles success and the coaching crew believes in a particular philosophy."

"We didn't know much about the host country but were only able to watch a clip of their game against South Africa."

Audu explained that the game was tough on them as they knew a little about the host country, and that was got from a match clip between them and South Africa, adding that the coaching crew gave them just a little instruction which they followed and landed them their first victory of the tournament.

"It is an error we noticed and today we are going to correct it and prepare harder for the next game." Topsport

He also admitted that the team has its lapses which they will take back to the drawing board to improve on before their next game on Wednesday against Congo.
