The Nigeria Football Federation have revealed that in a few days time, they would have resolved the contract mess between the NFF and the out-of-contract Super Eagles coach, Stephen Keshi.
The nations football rulling body announced that it met with the former Mali and Togo boss' representatives to negotiate the terms of his new contract on Wednesday in Abuja.
“There were lots of prospect and progress in the meeting held with Keshi on We
dnesday and I believe everything is in good faith and in few days’ time, we shall conclude though it is still ongoing,” Anyansi told reporters in the nation’s capital, Abuja.
The NFF however refused to be drawn into making a definitive statement on whether a deal with Keshi will be concluded before the country’s next international against Bolivia on March 26.
“Your guess is as good as mine, let’s be very frank, it is still an ongoing stuff and we have made a lot of progress so let’s see how it goes.
“When a meeting is ongoing we don’t just go and print it. It is progressive and we have made a lot of progress, everybody is happy and you can see all of us came out smiling.
“I think I should just say this, I believe you guys should help us, you should help to report things the way it should be especially what you send out to the public.
“One thing Nigeria should understand is we are doing a very good job and very soon the issue of Super Eagles’ coach will be concluded,” he said.
