Former Ajax of Holland player, Tijani Babaginda has has expressed satisfaction with the performance of the CSKA Moscow player, Ahmed Musa.
Musa, scored the only goal for his side's 1-1 draw against South Africa in Nelspruit where he capped the team for the first time on Sunday.
The former Eagles winger said that Musa's goal-scoring ability has put him amongst top Super Eagles player all around Europe with 10 goals and six assists in all competitions for CSKA Moscow this season.
Both Musa and Babangida players have featured for Dutch side, VVV Venlo in the early part of their career and have been compared in the past due to their lightning pace and eye for goal.
And Babangida, who gold in Atlanta in 1996 has charged the 22-year-old to develop a ruthless streak in order to force a potential move to one of Europe's elite asides.
"I am really impressed with the new Ahmed Musa, it shows that he is working really hard at his club and it is telling in his form of late," Babangida told Goal.
"I was on the same flight with him some time ago and I used the opportunity to tell him one or two things about his game. And I am very happy to see him scoring the way he is doing now.
"For him to really catch the eye of the big clubs, he needs to continue this scoring form, because that is what most of these clubs are actually looking for.
"I want to say that his Russian club has really helped to improve his playing skills.
"And by the time he moves to one of the bigger clubs in Europe, he will be a better player for the Super Eagles and a big encouragement to the young and aspiring footballers in Nigeria and the northern part of the country in particular.
"I have done my part and I am happy that Musa is following in those footsteps."
