Caf Beach Soccer Championship; Senegal stops Nigeria again from reaching world cup

The Super Sand Eagles have lost their semi final game 3-4 to Senegal at the ongoing Confederations of African Football Beach Soccer Championship in Seychelles on Saturday.

The Nigerian contingent had won all their three group games but unfortunately, they won't be participating at the 2015 Fifa Beach Soccer World Cup in Portugal for the second time in a row which is scheduled to hold from July 9-19.

The Nigerian campaigners started brightly with Emeka Ogbonna opening the scoring while experienced Abu Azeez and captain Olawale Isiaka made it three but Senegal fought back to win the contest 4-3.

The Nigerian side since last victory against the Senegalese in the semi-final of the 2009 African Beach Soccer Champions was a narrow 7-6 win.  The Adamu Ejor's men who had failed to qualify two years to Tahiti at the mercy of the Senegalese side in the semi-final in two straight editions after a 9-8 defeat.

The defeat was also the third defeat for Nigeria in last three meeting including 6-5 loss at the Power House Beach Soccer Championship in South Africa.  Goal
