Super Eagles coach, Stephen Keshi has described coaching the Nigerian national team as a tasking job, but insists
he took the job because it is what he loves to do most in his life.

Keshi, who stayed without a job for almost 10 months signed a 2-year deal with the Nigeria Football Federation, which elapses at the end of the 2017 African Cup of Nations to be staged in Gabon.

"Its not easy, its a tasking job, but this is what I love doing and I love seeing these young kids come into camp because its my legacy when I was in Togo and Mali where ever I am even in the states.

"But for me to be able to control their performance or level in the game is a personal thing and matter of personal excellence. It depends on every individual to put in the right effort to get better. Its not my job to be on their necks to tell players how much importance they attach to their career.

"They are all adults, they’re professionals and they should live up to that level,” Keshi explained.

Keshi said that for Nigerian football to move to the next level, all the players must put in their best to ensure the success of the Super Eagles in the coming Afcon qualifiers as well as other competitions in the future.

Nigeria have played 4 friendly games this year- lost two, against Ivory Coast and Uganda, and drew with South Africa while they defeated Yemen national team 2-0 in Abu Dhabi. footballlive
